Serayah Interview Live from Chicago!

Serayah is a multi-talented artist that is best known for her role as Tiana on the hit show, Empire. She is an actress, singer, model, and much more. Empire is coming to an end in it’s 6th and final season this May 2020 on FOX. While filming Empire, over the past 5 years, Serayah has managed to do two movies, an EP, model campaigns, and release multiple singles in between. She is a force to be reckoned with and it is just the beginning. I had the chance to speak with her last week. Check out the interview below and I hope you enjoy!

RIHANNA NAMED PRESIDENT’S AWARD RECIPIENT FOR 51ST NAACP IMAGE AWARDS

LOS ANGELES (February 4, 2020) – The NAACP today announced that global music and fashion icon, business entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Rihanna, will receive the prestigious President’s Award during the 51^st NAACP Image Awards. The President’s Award is presented in recognition of a special achievement and distinguished public service, with previous recipients including last year’s recipient Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, Jesse Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Soledad O’Brien, Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, and Muhammad Ali among others. NAACP President Derrick Johnson will present the award to Rihanna during a LIVE TV special on BET on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from Pasadena, California.

“Rihanna has not only enjoyed a groundbreaking career as an artist and musician, but has also distinguished herself as a stellar public servant,” said Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of the NAACP. “From her business achievements through Fenty, to her tremendous record as an activist and philanthropist, Rihanna epitomizes the type of character, grace, and devotion to justice that we seek to highlight in our President’s Award.”

Alongside her incredible musical achievements which include nine GRAMMY awards, Rihanna continues to add more credits to her burgeoning resume: executive producer, fashion designer, actress, business entrepreneur and philanthropist. Rihanna never stops breaking barriers and has built beauty and fashion empires with global beauty brand FEИTY Beauty, lingerie brand SAVAGE x FENTY, and the recently launched luxury fashion brand FEИTY, which saw her become the first woman of color to partner with LVMH and the first woman to start an original brand for the world’s largest luxury group.

Rihanna has also used her influence for good through philanthropic efforts. Chief among these is her own Clara Lionel Foundation. The Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) was founded in 2012 by Rihanna in honor of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. CLF supports and funds groundbreaking and effective education and emergency response programs around the world. With the voices of Rihanna and her fans, CLF also engages in global advocacy with the goal of improving the quality of life for young people everywhere.

Winners for the 51^st NAACP Image Awards will be revealed during the LIVE TV special airing on BET on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 8pm/7c from Pasadena, California. Tiana Kocher Interview Live from Hollywood!

Tiana Kocher is a dope singer/songwriter who just released her first single “U Tried It.” Tiana is currently working on her debut album that will be released soon. T.J. Martell Foundation’s LA Family Day 2019 Recap!

T.J. Martell Foundation’s LA Family Day 2019 was a hit! The day was filled with games, candy, performances, a silent auction, family, food, and more! All of your favorite artists were there including JD McCrary, the cast of All That, Ally Brooke, Debbie Gibson, JoJo Siwa, and many more. The event also honored Doug Cohn, Senior VP, Music & Talent at Nickelodeon with the LA Family Day Visionary Award and Doug Palladini, Global Brand President, VANS presented with the LA Family Day Legacy Award. Throughout the event we had performances by JD McCrary, Ally Brooke, and for the finale, JoJo Siwa. Definitely looking forward to next year’s already!

WGCI Summer Jam 2019 Recap!

The 2019 WGCI Summer Jam was epic with the line up of Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Teyana Taylor, Queen Naija, Ann Marie and more. The headliner was Gucci Mane who took us down memory lane with his classics and had the crowd buzzing. Gucci also brought out Chance The Rapper as a special guest performing a song off his new album “The Big Day”. Yo Gotti hit the stage with Freddie Gibbs as the hype man. Gotti also surprised us with bringing out two of Chicago’s well known artists, G Herbo and El Hitta. Teyana Taylor stage presence was flawless as usual with amazing choreography and sultry voice! The one and only Queen Naija set the tone of the concert with her outstanding voice. We cannot forget Chicago’s very own and Interscope Records, new artist, Ann Marie performed her latest single “My Body” and also “Throw It Back” wish is a fan favorite. Looking forward to another WGCI Summer Jam next year! Thanks again to WGCI for parting on another amazing show!

Dana Vaughns Interview Live from Hollywood!

Dana Vaughns just released his new single “Rough Rider” in the beginning of July 2019 accompanied by the cinematic, music video a week later. Dana is singer, dancer, actor, and more, and has accomplished so much at the age of 21. He is also currently on the hit BET show, American Soul, and just signed on for a new Netflix project. Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood cast members all came out last week to celebrate Zellswag’s clothing line release, East Avenue, and his new EP, As Seen On TV.
