AT&T Brought IT’S 312 DAY to Chicago!
The event was free to the public as long as you RSVP’d beforehand in a link that was circulating throughout all social media sites. Basically if you did not RSVP or come out that night, you missed out! Every influencer, industry person, Chicago legend, photographer, etc. was in the building. It was one of the first events in a long time that brought together the community and culture of the city. The thing I absolutely loved was that there was no violence, discrimination, prejudice, or sexism. It was a melting pot, of majority, Millennials & Generation X and a lot of of the cities creatives.
312 Day was hosted by the multi-talented, Radio Host/TV Personality, Kendra G, who held down for the entire night. The event held creative co-labs including Slam Poetry, Graffiti Institute, Street Wear Studio, and more. If you were hungry, there was complimentary food from Harold’s Chicken, Superdawg, and more. They had food for everyone! Also, the drinks were flowing including soda, water, beer, and wine. The had all the essentials to a great night out in the city.
If that was not enough there was still more to come! After eating or getting a drink, you had the opportunity to get a custom made shirt of your favorite Chicago slogans to take home as a souvenir and got a chance to win prizes from a vending machine includes phones, and more. Throughout the night, AT&T caps were handed out to everyone with a set of pins that you could switch out on the cap. It was another souvenir you did not want to miss. No one that night was going home empty handed.
Now lets talk about all the special Chicago artists that came out to support this great event! It started with a panel talk, on-stage, including Lil’ Rel, Jamila Woods, Don C, Lupe Fiasco, and a couple more Chicago creatives. For the finale, Dreezy, Vic Mensa, and Lupe Fiasco all hit the stage to each give a full performance. Each of them performed their hits and had the crowd a blaze! Lupe closed the show with his hit songs, The Show Goes On and Touch The Sky and the night came to a close.
AT&T really out did themselves with the It’s 312 Day in Chicago! Regardless of all the obstacles of our city, it shows we can all come together for a great event and enjoy each others company without conflict or violence. Thanks again to AT&T for this great event and recognizing all the positivity we have to offer in our great city of Chicago!
